SuisTesJ

FAQ

The questions people ask before installing

Short answers. If yours isn't here, write to us.

Does it work without a connection?

Yes, entirely. The schedule, completions, reschedules, reminders and export all work in airplane mode. The network is only used for syncing, if you turned it on.

Do I need an account?

No. The app is complete without one. An account is only asked for SuisTesJ Cloud — that is, to find your schedule again on a second device.

What is the J method, in one sentence?

Reopening a course at widening intervals — J1, J3, J7, J14, J30, J60, J90 — counting days from the one you learned it. "J" is French for day.

Does it replace Anki, Quizlet, RemNote?

No, and that is not the aim. Those host your content and quiz you on it; SuisTesJ tells you which day to open which course, whatever the material. The two go together.

Where is my data?

Without an account: only in the app's private area on your phone, and nowhere else. With Cloud on: at Supabase, region eu-central-2, in Zurich, Switzerland.

What happens if I miss a review?

Nothing serious, and certainly not a pile of debt. Overdue reviews are grouped by course; the app offers only the most advanced one of each and marks the earlier ones as caught up.

Can I export my courses?

Yes, at any time: Settings → Export data. You get a readable file that can be imported back, without an account and without a subscription. Your backup is yours.

What does it cost, and what exactly is paid?

The app is free and complete: no planning feature is reserved. Only syncing between devices is paid — the amounts are here, with a free 14-day trial.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Android first, iOS next. No date is announced, and there will not be one until it can be met.

How do I delete my account?

From the app, Settings → SuisTesJ Cloud, or by email. The full procedure and what gets deleted: account deletion page.
